Welcome back/ Welcome to the Pamlico County High School family
Home of the Canes!
I am so excited to begin my second year as your Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. I have been in education 15+ years and can’t wait to see all of our returning and new to PCHS students. For those new to our family, I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I moved to New Bern in 2004 and married my high school sweetheart. We have 3 amazing boys, Matthew (13), Wes (10) and Nate (4) as well as our “fur babies” Beau, Daisy and Lucy. We love watching The Office, attending sporting events, going to the mountains, and spending time together as a family.
I love Pamlico County Schools because of our sense of pride, community, and support of our young people and our educators. The feeling of “family” I felt all last year, and continue to feel, on our campus is comforting, humbling, and rejuvenating! I know this is where I am meant to be - and am proud to serve this entire community for as long as you’ll have me.
Last year, while we were able to get back into our building and be with one another face to face, was difficult as we learned alongside one another what our new “normal” would look like. My goal for this school year is to take the things we learned from our time together last year and go from good to great as a family. This is going to continue to take a lot of hard work from our entire school community but I am certain if we work as a team, we will accomplish this as well as any and all goals we set for ourselves and our school! So, prepare to commit to greatness with me by embracing our CANES Family Values!
