Remote Learning day for Wednesday, February 19

Due to anticipated severe weather conditions, Pamlico County Schools will operate on a remote learning day for all students and staff on Wednesday, February 19. This decision prioritizes the safety of our students, staff, and families, as forecasts indicate hazardous conditions that may impact travel.

What This Means for Students & Families:

** District offices and school facilities will be closed on Wednesday, February 19, with employees working remotely.
** All after-school activities and events are canceled for Wednesday, February 19.
** Teachers will be available via email during the day for questions and support.
** Your child’s teacher will send home materials or instructions to ensure learning continues. K-8 devices will not be sent home, so please pay close attention to instructions from teachers.

At Pamlico County Schools, we prioritize both student learning and safety. Remote learning days allow us to maintain academic momentum, minimize make-up days, and meet state instructional requirements while ensuring everyone stays safe.

While we all enjoy the occasional snow day, our goal is to keep students engaged and on track, even when conditions make in-person learning unsafe.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to learning. Please continue to monitor social media, our school websites, and tv channels as we continue to monitor the weather for Thursday.
Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in school soon!
