The PCHS NJROTC Academic Team attended the Area 6 Regional Tournament at Cary High School on Saturday. Led by the Academic Team Commander, Ally Leaming, the team won the Area 6 competition which qualifies them to go to Nationals AGAIN this year!
The team was undefeated throughout the tournament including the Brainiac Division where each team provides one representative to compete head-to-head. Cadet Jackson Callen won the Brainiac Division securing the sweep for the PCHS NJROTC Pamlico A team.
The Pamlico B team, while not qualifying, went farther in the competition than any other Pamlico B Team in recent memory.
The Pamlico A team will be heading to New Jersey, to compete in the national competition at the end of April.
You may remember that the PCHS NJROTC Team traveled to San Diego last year to compete in Nationals where they placed 13th in the nation. The many hours of study and preparation from the students and both Master Chief Matthews and Commander Robinson show in their representation in each competition they attend.
