International Paper and United Way Donate to PCHS

Thank you to International paper and the United Way of Coastal Carolina for their donation of feminine hygiene kits to our schools! This is a part of an initiative to end period poverty in our community.

Catherine Burgess, Communications Coordinator for International Paper - New Bern Mill, states, " This was our fourth year packing femhy (feminine hygiene) kits for local schools. Each year, we are told how much of a need there is within our schools for these items. We are proud to provide safe, quality products to help keep girls in school while having a healthy period."

Representatives from the United Way and International Paper met with Henry Rice, Executive Director of Administrative Services for Pamlico County Schools, Brandolyn Holton, Principal of PCHS, Wade Reifsnyder, Assistant Principal for PCHS, Christina Warren, nurse at PCHS and Kelly Williams, social worker at PCHS to deliver the kits. Each kit includes a handwritten note of encouragement as well.

Thank you for this wonderful outreach for our students!
