Pamlico Re-establishes JV Football

Congratulations to our PCHS Junior Varsity Football team on their win last night against East Carteret, a 20-18 victory!

A win is always exciting but it is particularly poignant for our PCHS students and staff as this is the first time there has been a Junior Varsity football team in 12 years!

PCHS head varsity football coach Bobby Griffin says, "When I took this job, we were told that it would take two years to produce a JV team. Luckily for us, we rise above what is expected."

Coach Nate Daniels is the head coach for our junior varsity team with Vincent McDuffie, Art Harris, and Keith Reese as assistant coaches. Coach Daniels is also the defensive coordinator for the high school varsity football team and teaches Health / PE for both Fred A. Anderson Elementary School and Pamlico County High School.

Coach Daniels gave a shout-out to his assistants for their dedication and support after the game last night but ultimately thanked the players by saying, "... the most important shout out to our kids! They showed a lot of heart tonight!"
