Senior Naval Science Instructor

Military Biography:  In June 2023 Captain Rodriguez retired from the United States Marine Corps after 25 years of active service and multiple deployments to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and  Japan. During his time in the Marine Corps he was assigned to VMAQ-3, VAQ-129, VMAQ-1, CNATT Pensacola, VMFA(AW)-224, VMGR-452 and CNATT Cherry Point. In July 2023 he was hired as the Senior Naval Science Instructor at Pamlico County High School. 

      Captain Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with 2 gold stars, Navy Achievement Medal with 2 gold stars, and various other personal and unit awards.  Captain Rodriguez is married to the former Mrs. Lynette Smith and they have 5 children Makenzie, Isaac, Isaiah, Kylee, and Micah.
